Hello everyone,

From introspection to execution: Turning momentum into market

Last week at IncubX, the ecosystem held a mirror up to itself. We talked about incubators as the invisible backbone of innovation, the strength of our national pipeline, and the necessity of looking inward before performing for international stages. Now, the calendar turns and the dust settles just a little bit, as we approach the busy weeks of late October and early November. We know how to build communities, organize hackathons, fill rooms, and launch programs. But as we stand on the threshold of the season, with Web Summit and Portugal Tech Week fast approaching, we have to ask ourselves: What comes after the applause? An ecosystem cannot survive on momentum alone. A strong community is the foundation, but market validation is the structure. The real test of our maturity over the next decade won’t be measured by how many startups we incubate, but by how many of those startups find their first paying customers right here at home. It’s time to move from introspection to execution. When you sit down at your desk this week, challenge yourself and your partners:

  • Are we opening doors to enterprise pilots?

  • Are we helping early-stage teams close contracts?

  • Are we building products for a global market from day one?

Starting was never Portugal’s problem. Selling, scaling, and staying power are where the next decade will be won. Let’s make sure every conversation this week moves the needle toward a market that actually moves.

See you at the next event.
