What Would Miles Davis Do With AI? Reimagining Legacy: How AI Expands Human Creativity (in-person, public event)

18:30Lisboa

From Miles Davis to AI Cinema — preserving soul while reinventing the future. As summer settles over Lisbon and the river glows in the evening light, RedBridge invites you to join us for a special Summer Conversation in our garden overlooking the Tagus. This relaxed evening brings together two remarkable innovators whose careers have been shaped by creativity, experimentation, and a willingness to embrace new technologies. Jason Miles is a Grammy-winning producer, composer, and keyboardist who worked closely with Miles Davis and has collaborated with some of the most influential names in contemporary music. Throughout his career, he has explored how technology can expand artistic possibilities while preserving authenticity and soul. Joining him is Ian Truitner, award-winning filmmaker, entrepreneur, and AI innovator whose work sits at the intersection of storytelling, cinema, and emerging technologies. As founder of RANDIAN, he has become a recognised voice on how AI is reshaping the future of creative industries. This conversation will be moderated by Ozioma Egwuonwu Founder of BurnBright International, Ozioma is an internationally celebrated speaker, strategist, scholar who has advised governments, Fortune 500 companies, and early-stage startups on the art of transformational storytelling. She has spoken at the UN, TEDx speaker, SXSW, Oxford, and Columbia University, where she was a faculty member, and in 2012 founded World Dream Day — now with a cumulative estimated reach of over one billion people. Together, they will explore one of the defining questions of our time: How do we embrace powerful new technologies without losing the human qualities that make creativity meaningful? From the legacy of Miles Davis to AI-powered filmmaking, the conversation will examine how innovation has always transformed the arts—and what the future may hold for music, film, and storytelling. Topics will include: • What today's AI revolution can learn from past creative revolutions • The future of music and how technology is transforming the way it is created, produced, and experienced • AI as a creative collaborator rather than a replacement • The role of intuition, emotion, and human judgment in an AI-driven world • How artists can preserve authenticity while embracing innovation More than a discussion about technology, this is a conversation about creativity, curiosity, and the future of human expression. Join us for an inspiring summer evening of ideas, conversation, and new perspectives—with a glass in hand, a view of the river, and two exceptional guests helping us imagine what comes next. What would Miles Davis do with AI? Perhaps the more interesting question is: What will we do with it? — All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable. By completing your booking, you agree to these terms. By attending this event, you acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken and used for promotional purposes. Co-working Day for Designers + Mentoring

09:30Lisboa

Besides providing you with office space, we'll also host in-person mentoring sessions with senior designers and past speakers throughout the day. Spend the day working alongside other designers from our community, in person at Casa do Impacto. Bring whatever you're working on. Some of us are new to Lisbon, some have been here for years. Either way, it's an easy room to walk into, even on your own. We always have lunch together: Mentor Sessions While you're here, you can book a 1:1 with a senior designer. Bring your portfolio for a fresh pair of eyes, work through a case study, or talk over your next career move. It's a proper conversation with someone who has been where you are. Sessions are in person. RSVP here on Luma first, and we'll email you the booking link a couple of days before the event. We also run a job board for UX designers, if you're keeping an eye out for your next role: https://jobs.lisboaux.com/ Our Slack is invite-only, just so it stays a tight-knit group. Come along a couple of times and you're in. It's where the community keeps going between Fridays: events, job leads, and the people you met at lunch. Tickets are a symbolic 5€, just enough to keep no-shows down, so the people who commit get a seat. If you're a student or between jobs, you can get it back after the event. Grab a seat while there's room. AGENDA 09:30 - Co-working with other Designers (you can join later). 13:00 - Community Lunch at Padaria Portuguesa (optional). We also run Adamastor, a publication covering the Portuguese startup scene. It keeps a page and weekly newsletter with every design event happening in Portugal, so you'll always know what else is on beyond our Fridays. We add them as we hear about them, and you can submit your own: https://adamastor.blog/events/design This event takes place at the same place and time as the co-working day for developers by LisboaJS: Co-working for Developers - https://luma.com/event/evt-F9JtRsW2T2Q6DAD

Subvisual's Starbase Lisbon 2026

09:00Lisboa

As Onchain Lisbon Week takes over the city, we will heed the call. A Starbase never stands still, and still fresh from the Coimbra landing, we will take flight towards the capital of Portugal once again. Builders need a safe haven to refuel (we mean eat. It’s food. We like food. We’ll keep saying refuel though to stay on-brand), rest up, and build with tranquility. As such, on July 22, Subvisual’s Starbase lands in one of Lisbon’s most beautiful hidden gems for an open-office residency. No stage, no panels, no noise. We will provide a premium environment designed for everyone to collab, get some work done, and network. As always, we will provide the essentials—the space, the community, and the fuel (wink wink)—so you can focus on getting stuff done alongside the brightest minds in Web3. The future is being built here, wherever here is. Secure your spot. 🌟
